3600 miles and the dash rattles...
Ok, I just got an oil change, and about 1 day after that my dash now makes some rumbling/rattling sounds whenever I drive it.
This is pissing me off beyond belief. Has anyone else experianced this problem and have any ideas on how to remedy it?
I was hoping the dealer could just tighten some screws on the dash or put some foam somewhere, whatever...
I doubt my sound system is at fault since my car ony has stock speakers and I don't blast them much,
not much bass or anything, I just play freakin' rock...
Much appreciated!

Honestly...good luck getting the rattling to stop. I suppose you could try putting some more foam under the dash to dampen it, but thats about all I can see doing. My dash rattles a decent amount thanks to my motor mounts. However it rattled a bit before then as well.
I don't think its the speakers that cause the problem. I think its just cause the dash is kinda cheap....although I hate to say it. But I don't think any of us thought we were getting something luxurious when we bought a neon. I've heard of this happening on most neons.

That freakin' sucks! Since the dealers did the oil change and it happened right after, I might see what I can do there.
If not, try the foam. Thanks for help man.

The oil change shouldn't have made a difference, so it was probably just a coincidence that it happened after that. You can try tightening screws that hold it if you want or you can let them do it. If you want to try yourself there is one in the vent in the middle of the dash and also a screw on driver and passenger side. You have to open each door to see them. Best of luck!
