How hard would it be to replace the regular engine and auto tranny in my neon with the engine and manual trans from an SRT4? A person i know is selling a whole car for $3000 with a totaled front end and no title. I have a shop so that isn't a problem, i am morre concerned with how much time it will take to do it. Also has anyone found a strut tower brace for the 03 neons?

 

thats not all you's have to replace. you also have to install the clutch lines and install new wires..it would be cheaper to buy that neon your friend is selling

 

also the srt4 moter..your gonna spend at leased 8000$, cause you have to convert everything. and your friends car..depending on how much damage there is it might cost you some cash, but you can get alot of the parts from a junkyard like radiater..ect. plus the srt4 are turbo..you have alot to think about befor you drop an srt4 moter in a sxt..st or whatever you have
