Hey everyone I have a 2003 neon sxt. I'm having evaporate issues it started with car sputtering and then shutting of on red lights and then when u start it, it would have a rich mixture smell and when I would stop at to get gas it would spill gas out side. Some one told me the evap system is not circulating the air in the gas tank properly told me to leave the gas cap lose and see what happen it has helped. It doesn't shut off it hesitates and every time it does that the gas spills out of the gas cap. CEL codes are p440, p442 which are both for evap. How much trouble I'm in and how much cost I might be looking at any suggestions.
