Default 2005 Neon SXT

So I am in the market for a car since my truck will cost me a fortune to drive to college and back and I have found this 2005 dodge neon with 92K miles. It looks good from the pictures, but i just had a few questions since I have never owned a neon. I have read the thread on buying a neon and am just wondering if i should be concerned with the timing belt on the car and if there is any way I can tell when driving it if it is going bad. Also from the pictures it looks as if the car has power windows in the front but manual ones in the back, was that a factory option? thanks for all the help.

here is the link to the car in case you want to check it out for yourself.

I'm shopping for the same thing for my 2 teens that are starting to drive. Looks like you have found yourself a clean one. Take care and GOOD LUCK.

Timing belt normally changed at 90K, might be 100K in some models. It is hard to get to and won't be cheap. You will have to replace the water pump at the same time. you also hope that at that milage they already replaced S/P wires, struts, engine mounts and strut mts. I have a F150 and my neon saved my truck 30K going to and from work. Not to mention at 31MPG instead of 15 MPG. I'm glad I got mine it has been a real work horse.

We just sold our 2000 Neon with 164k on it... did the timing belt at ~115k... it had an alternator, a starter, a cat, and a couple of sets of brake, but was very economical motoring.
We loved our Neon.
We now have a new Dart, and are similarly loving it.

what xarkhun said... that Half&Half window set up was the only power window option on these cars. it's weird, but they just didn't offer power windows for the back seat folks.
