ignition switch swap
Just bought an 02 chrysler neon es (in canada) 5 speed. I managed to loose the only key I had for it, so looking at what option I have.
Note* It was the grey chip key, not sure if all 2nd gens came with them or not.
I have access to an 02 neon (automatic) and was wondering what would be involved in the swap.
Could I simply swap out the ignition switch as well as the trunk and door lock, or is there more to it?
Being as I have the manual it does have the key release button where the auto doesn't but didn't think that would be a big deal.
Also maybe just take the car and have them make up a key for it? Just assuming the ign switch swap would go well and would cost nothing figured I would look into that first.
Any input would be great, thanks in advance!

The ignition switch is just that- a switch. The Sentry key system is all programmed into the ECU. I have absolutely no clue how much it costs to make a key from scratch, but the convenience of having one key for everything would trump the effort of swapping everything out, to me anyways. It's your call on what's easier.
