2000 Dodge Neon 2.0L serpentine belt tensioner pulley misaligned
I had to replace the whole serpentine belt tensioner assembly (side engine mount plate) and the belt rides a little bit off of the pulley itself. This is causing the belt to squeak and within a week shear off while I'm driving. I have no clue what to do. I was thinking maybe I could put some washers behind the tensioner plate to space it out from the engine so the belt rides on the pulley as it should. Anybody have any ideas or have you encountered this problem? This is the part I'm talking about. http://www.carpartsshed.com/Catalog/Default.aspx?Make=Dodge&Model=Neon&Part=Belt%20Ten sioner%20Assembly&sku=GAT38277
