i just installed a header and my check engine light came on i have a completely custom exhasut and i had to put on a resonator because my exhasut got anoying. i dont have a cat on and i know thats the problem. i tried putting the cat on to the header but it wont fit what can i do to fix the engine light, cause the muffler shop i go to want weld my cat onto my new down pipe

 

depending on where you live, i would just keep the cat off. here in florida we dont have inspection so i was able to take it off and put the o2 sensor straight into the exhaust pipe. check on that to see if you can do the same.
