last week I put in 3 quarts of transmission fluid in the 2005 neon sxt, cause it would jerk 3 times after putting it in drive and it would take a few seconds before it would kick in, and the dip stick was bone dry. After puttin in 3 quarts it shifts smoothly and it doesnt jerk anymore, but now its leaking, but only when the engine is running. I checked everything cant find where its coming from, the transmission still shifts smoothly, and its a steady drip. any ideas?

 

Raise the vehicle and inspect around the front pump area. Also look at the solenoid pack or the cooler lines. 2005 should have the A604/41TE transmission.

 

I checked everything, and when I do raise the car, it stops leaking, even when its running, it only does it when it wants too

 

Add transmission dye and then check the leak with a black light. That will help find the leak.
