So I have a 2002 Neon sxt 2.0 that i have had for about 6 years now. here recently it started to get hard to start so i did a battery load test and the battery stays above 12v while cranking. But the starter is sluggish and cranks pretty slow. Also the gauges are resetting everytime i start it now. Could i have a bad starter that is pulling alot of battery amperage, and making the gauges reset everytime?

 

Maybe bad connection somewhere. Bad ground. Battery could still be bad. The battery takes the biggest hit while trying to turn the engine over.
