Hi all,

I drive a 2003 dodge neon sxt. I have approx. 222,000kms. And I have the P0441 code. Now a few months ago it did go off but came back on, so Im going to try a new gas cap later..
But I don't want to go spending money but I did take it on a road trip and when filling up with gas when the pump stops I did fill bit more then I guess I should have. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

I did search the code and got some things to try and fix but with this info maybe someone can narrow it right down to 1 or 2 things.

Purge solenoid

 

I've never had that code on my Neon, but I did have it on my truck recently. It turned out to be the vacuum line from the fuel tank to the purge solenoid. The short piece of rubber hose from the tank to the steel line dry rotted and cracked open.
