Default 2005 Dodge Neon SXT Humming Noise

Hi Folks!

I have a Dodge Neon with 140k miles on it. A couple of weeks ago, my Neon started to make this strange humming noise that while you are sitting in the car sounds like it comes from the right. I popped the hood, but you cannot hear anything unusual then, you only hear it inside the cabin. The car runs fine and I have been driving with like normal, but I would like to get rid of the noise? Any ideas?

Let me know if I need to provide more details.

Thanks in advance!

Jimmy

i have an 05 sxt also and mine makes a humming noise all the time. come to find out my motor mount is bad. its the one in the middle on the passager side. the only 2 ways i found to be able to change it is 1, tear apart the whole front of the engine n still have a hard time changing it or 2, pull the engine. Im dealin with mine for now because soon i have to change my timing belt n water pump, so im juss gonna pull the engine n trans n change all the mounts along with some other stuff.

These are ways to do it but all I used was a floor jack. The only thing you have to do is take out the battery and the plate its sitting on, then unbolt the top and bottom mount on the passengers side. Place the jack under the oilpan and unbolt the middle mount from the wheel well. After its unbolted jack that sucker up and to the side and the mount comes right out.
