Ok my 2004 neon automatic only once in a while does this, I put the key in and go to turn it, it wont move almost like the steering is locked but its not. I wiggle it fast and take the key in and out fast and it finally turns. It is weird any thoughts...Thanks in advance guys

 

When I bought my 2000 the ignition key cylinder was flopping around and I would have to play with it at times to engage the starter. I replaced the cylinder lock and a plastic box that connected the wires from the cylinder to the rest of the car. After that I had no problems engaging the starter and running the car.

 

Thanks for the reply, My friend said its either the ignition box and its not likely he said or the actuator pin I will look at them this weekend

 

well it was neither one of those but the problem is fixed. Thanks for your advise but as for the site seers wow thanks for nothing
