Default WHAT SHOUD I EXPECT FROM MY NEW TYPHOON CAI?

Alright, got my Typhoon CAI today and installed it. A little upset i got a silver tube instad of red, but whatever, they messed up. Anywho, yeah so im pretty sure i feel a difference like right off from stepping on the gas. At what RPM should i really expect to feel something? Also is there a new sound that comes from it?

Josh

Well...I have the same intake and my intake is louder then my loud *** exhaust when I step on it. Hell...I can hear it sucking in air with it just sitting in the driveway idling if I'm up by the front of the car. I notice the intake from about 3500rpm on to redline. It seems to really hit at 4000rpm on my car. This about the point the intake starts to get really louder...louder then my exhaust. It definitely makes a big difference when its colder outside for me.

uh... expect nothing but good things? lol, low would know. Im putting one on myself here in a couple weeks... and sorry to hear about the color mix up. :P

The K&N has been shown on our little neon engines to give us a 6.8 HP increase at 83 degrees.

^^ nerd portion of my brain escaped for a second. And not to mention unlike the ricer mufflers and cherry bomb riggers on some of the other cars you see driving around... this actually sounds pretty gosh darn yummy(if you dont understand, i like the noise it makes)

The sound is freakin' awesome -- much nicer than the "angry bumblebee" noise the ricers make. Put it in park and have a friend step on the gas while you're standing near the front and you'll really hear the air getting pulled in.

I want to get CAI but it wold be pointless as all my driving is between 2k and 3K RPM.

I like this car because it's roomier that my old b15 Sentra. What was cool about the sentra tho is that the powerband started WAY lower than the Neon. Eventhough that had a 1.8l engine the power would kick in at about 2.5k RPM. Also the B15 sentra is super quiet. So quiet that my passnegers often thought the car had stalled when I stopped at red lights.

Lots of torque at low RPM was sure fun.

The neon on the other hand, when I was test driving it, the intake (stock obviously as it's new) was so loud I thought the damn' thing had turbo. LOL.

I was thinking WHAT THE HELL? FACTORY TURBO ON THE SXT!?!?
