RE: cai install
What kind of CAI is it? But yes, most likely you will need to remove the drivers side wheel (for more room), remove the plastic splash liner in the wheel well so you can get at the plastic air box that is in the bumper. I think if you take the wheel off and gain access to snorkel part for the airbox you'll see how to take it out. It comes out in two pieces and is held in there by 3 bolts I believe. Anyways, that should help ya. Its not too hard to do. Let me know, I can probably assist you. I just instlaled an intake on my car not long ago.

RE: cai install
i just recently installed my Typhoon Intake on my 2004 SXT. At an easy pace, i took out the screws, set them in order in which they whent, took out the old intake system, jacked it up... took of the Drivers side wheel and took off the 2 screws that held the guard in place.
After that it was 2 screws i had to take out along with 2 of those plastic plug doohickies. It relinquished its old factory lungs after figuring out and getting it to come loose without forcing it out. The installation actually took a lot less time than that of just ripping out the old lungs.
DONT WE LOVE SURGERY?!
-Total time was about an hour and 45 minutes taking my time.
P.S. Yes, there are specific step by step instructions that came with mine (not to mention some tools to get the job done right) That was pretty cool of them to have done that.
