Exclamation Car wont accelerate manual car

Hey guys I have an 03 dodge neon and when I was leaving my house to go to school today my car wouldnt accelerate in first gear. I took it off the handbreak and when I try to accelerate I hear a sound as if my hand break is on. I put it on reverse and it moved backwards but wouldnt move forward? any help would be appreciated =\

How cold is it? Sounds like the brakes sticking.

it was only around 60 degrees. But it wasn't sticking last night, and it was way colder around 40's I believe. Btw I live in Florida so we don't really get that cold here

Manual or automatic? Does it roll freely in neutral?

So i tried to move it again and still wouldn't but not it wont reverse either. Maybe its something with the ebrake? maybe its not unlatching from the rear disc brake? Its manual

Yeah, if you cant move it in neutral, the brakes are stuck. Jack it up and inspect the rear brakes.
