Default Need Elec Part Name & Info

I have a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT, I bought if used and fund out I am missing the piece that you would plug the diagnostic tool into.. Name please?

I'm also having an issue when I am coasting, not pushing the accelerator or the brake and all my dials just stop working on my dash. The car doesn't die when this happens. When I apply either the gas or the brake, they start working again until the next time.. Any ideas? Can't afford a mechanic...

Your missing the OBD port or you just cant find it? Normally located under the dash on the driver side. Did you not test drive it before purchasing?

I am missing the port. I did test drive it, but wasn't specifically looking for that.. I assumed my vehicle had it just like everyone else's. I am going to try and find one in a wrecking yard, thus the post, because I couldn't remember what it was called.. I also have a. vaccuum leak, but don't know where from.. Any suggestions on where I can look to locate it, can't get the code..

The OBD port should be on the left side of the foot well on the driver's side, basically somewhere in-between the door and steering column. They are tucked up under the dash sometimes, which IIRC, the Neon one is.

As for the vacuum leak, check for a loose/worn gas cap or a cracked line coming off of the evap canister (by the rear passenger wheel).
