Default Car wants to die.

I have a 2000 Plymouth neon lx. It just started within the last year that when we get a lot rain. It will start to idle really rough and wants to die. Also when I try to accelerate it boggs down. So I have to gun it. It's fine any other time. I know this sounds weird.

EGR might be stuck open. Or your timing belt jumped.

It only does it when it's been raining

Apparently no EGR on your engine. Start with a basic tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, air filter, etc.

All that is good. Why would it only do it when it is raining. I gotta be getting water into somewhere.

Something to do with the ignition would be my guess. Cracked spark plug insulator, bad plug wire, coil, etc.
