Been Awhile...
Hey all,
It's been awhile since I've been on here. Still have the good ol' '05 Neon SXT. Put new strut assemblies on the rear last fall, and last week, I put new strut assemblies and lower ball joints on the front. Nothing fancy, just went with Raybestos strut assemblies in all four corners, and Moog lower ball joints. Did the tie rod ends a couple years ago, so they are still good. The car is still rock solid except for a couple bubbles under the paint around the rear fender lip. Already repaired some bubbling that was forming along the bottom edge of the rear door last fall. I bought this car for my Wife in 2007 with only 19.5k on it and she's sitting at 160.2k right now. I would still load this car up and drive it to the West Coast today. About the only thing left to do to it is replace the upper and lower motor mounts. I noticed when I removed the lower mount to get the control arm off, the rubber was getting pretty weak in it. My Wife still loves her little Neon and doesn't look forward to getting rid of it any time soon. That's about it for now...

Well, I gave the Neon a good bath Saturday morning. And Monday morning I had the tires rotated, then came back home for oil/filter and air filter change, then sweeping and washing the inside. I used Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30 oil and a Fram Ultra synthetic filter. I've run regular Penn Platinum 5w30 in it since about 2008. 163,800 miles on it and she's still a good little car. Here's the cleaned up pic of the beast. But I took it before putting the tire dressing on.
