Default 2003 Dodge Neon 2.0

Hello, I am having some trouble with my car. I have changed my thermostat 10 times and it works for like 2 days but will not work after that. I am getting the most expensive thermostat as well. My car never over heats, my fluids aren't leaking at all. The check engine light has came on and when I got it tested it only said thermostat, then when my husband puts in a new thermostat it goes away. It will work 2 days and go back out, but when its warmer outside it will work sometimes but not all the time. If anyone has an idea of what else might be going on I could really use some help. Thank you

Both times its happened it comes up as thermostat. There wasn't a code that they gave me. they Plugged it in to the computer and when it popped up it said thermostat. I am going back today because it happened to me this morning and I will see if there is a code.

Yes. Knowing the exact code is helpful. They could be just selling you parts unrelated to the actual issue.

That code can also mean a faulty coolant temperature sensor.
