Neon speedometer intermittently functions
I have a 2008 Dodge Neon that has a problem with the speedometer intermittently working? Once in a while if I hit a bump in the car the speedometer will work and then quit! Banging on the dashboard will not make it function. The speedometer works when it wants to! Does anyone have any ideas what the cause might be?

Welcome to the 2nd Gen Neon forum.
Use your inexpensive ELM, or the like scan tool to query the computer for pending, or set trouble code clues & post All code Numbers, as they can help focus a trouble shoot.
If you don't have a scantool, you can have the onboard vehicle computer blink the CEL to output the code numbers, by turning the ignition switch from Off to On (but don't crank the engine) 3 times, stopping at On the third time. Then watch the CEL as it blinks the codes.
If no joy there, have a look at the speed sensor electrical connector pins/sockets & the wiring to it for damage, or the connector not properly fatened, or corrosion of the contacts & let us know what you find.
