U were saying the fact that it sounds like a muscle car when u rev it. What u said was just funny to me. I was just playing; it's not that serious.

personally, I'd say: a CAI, an exhaust, underdrive pulley, a larger TB, high throughput fuel injectors, a high flow fuel pump, larger downtubes, aftermarket headers, upgraded PCM, then a turbo. That's the order I intend to implement on my own car. Once all is said and done, it'll end up costing me about $5-$6K (the turbo being about 3K of that.) This build isn't for everybody, but it'll give you some ideas. The order that these happen might change depending on troubles I encounter or if my research indicates otherwise.

I'd love to see some successful roadmaps of other peoples builds or receive input on my build plan.
If u go in that order you'll probably have to rebuild the bottom end of the engine to handle that power. The stock internals prob. wont be able to handle all of that with the turbo. If u do it like that you'll have to be careful in the high rpm range.
Personally, I would rather do a cam upgrade after the pcm.

Casper: I'd say the header would be useless if u get a turbo but not the PCM. The Neon still would have factory drawbacks with the stock pcm. By getting the pcm you'll have the top speed limiter taken off. I would hate to have all that power and get shut off at 120 mph so soon.
I agree, but both the Mopar and AFX pcm runs rich and you will blow the motor up with either and a turbo. The mega squirt is a viable option although I don't know anyone with it on a turbo neon personally.

From what I know I don't think the richness of the gas mixture is the problem. I've just heard that the only possible problem would be that the engine would have too much hp for the internals. If u rebuild the bottom and top end (mainly the bottom) of the engine you'll be alright. Hondas and stuff can run w/ a pcm and turbo I'd think Neons can if u mod it the right way.

I have heard from a few people that it is the richness. I have no personal experience, but thats what I have heard. Ask radarlove he said something about it while back

I've heard a few different things on this thread. Some say it's the richness and some say it's the internals. The internals part makes more sense to me. Asking someone with experince is probably the best thing to do. I'm going to ask Howell when I check on my Race PCM.

What about the K&N Typhoon? It looks better cosmetically IMO.

look @ the srt it runs rish...but its turbo'd w/ internals that can take 500 hp....

OK, I asked him if there was any reason not to run a performance PCM and a turbo together.

Don't know of a reason why. I do it all the time because you get better performance, only thing is I run a Crane HI-6 with a timing retard module, but I do that on a stock PCM
The timing retard module is key though.
