is that ture for all the NEON's tranny can only work well below 50k miles?
somebody told me that the tranny will go suck when it's used for 50k miles or above...
who can tell me the truth?

I've got 75,000 mi on my 2000 Neon and the trany is working fine.

 

well i have a 2001 neon and i have almost 98k miles on mine. i just got it about a thousand miles ago too. maybe that is why the price was so good...hmmm? j/k there is nothing wrong with it, it used to sputter and hesitate at stop lights, then the service engine light would come on. but i found out that someone had put platinum spark plugs in, and you cant do that to a neon, so i switched out for ngk plugs and msd wires. she runs like a champ now, dont worry too much about the miles, i am sure your fine.

 

It all depends on how it was taken care of. Your tranny can last for 200,000 or more if taken care of.

oh yeah i just hit 98007 miles on my neon and i am still runnin strong. heck yes. thatz wutz up! she is only 4 years old, she is averaging 25k miles a year. still love her though.

 

I have about 170,000 on my 98, the original tranny. Its starting to go now, but I am by no means a gentle driver, 5500RPM shifts everyday will do that.
