The only real performace out there for the 2000 is either a performance PCM from AFX or Mopar. Or the megasquirt.

so it looks to me like this is the best chip for my 2001 neon atx, http://howellautomotive.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=132 is there any of them a little cheaper though? i mean i am trying to pay for school and a girlfriend and you know how expensive they are!

that will work just fine. It would be my choice if I was not getting extreme with my car, I am going with the megasquirt only for the reason that it is fully adjustable to whatever mods you have. Given this is not for the novice and will require Dyno tuning time which is not cheap either.

It's not a replacement PCM, it's an add-on. I would go for a full replacement, as opposed to bother with an add-on dealie.
