Well I went out of town last week. I have to say for the first time I cracked 300 miles and my gas light didn't come on. I hit 327 miles using 9.4 gallons which were all highway miles. That was just using my cruise control set on about 77 mph. Then the next tank I hit 336, half highway miles and half city driving using 10.5 gallons. Gas light came on that time. I know some people think their neon sucks for gas mileage...but like I keep saying, take it out on the highway. I know thats where mine shines for gas mileage. In town it isn't anything real special. I usually get 28mpg in town. I am always either stopping or accelerating....I despise that. I also have non-stock tires on right now that are taller so I actually drove further then that. Only complain I had with the drive is my snow tires are loud!!! [:@]

 

I never really pay attention to my gas milage. Doesn't really concern me.

 

I've been known to break 500 Km's (311 miles). But that's only if I don't use air conditioning, heater, or do any racing. This is ALL city driving, with maybe a bit of freeway driving, though our freeways don't go any faster than 80 km/h (50 MPH)

I intend to do a few upgrades that'll help the situation. I'll report back once I get up the guts (and the cash) to tear my car apart.

 

20 in the city and 30 on the highway is usually what I get. The 30 was on a 4 hour trip to K-state and back to Columbia, MO (home of the MU tigers). My dad's dakota only a v6 gets a crappy 16 mph and 20 on the highway and its not even a V8 WTF.

 

Well when i punch it all the time in city driving i get usually only 270-290 miles per tank (roughly 23 mpg). But when i do all highway driving which is most of the time i can get about 350-370 while cruising at 75-80mph. Oh and i use 89 octane even though the book says 91, dont know if that affects my mileage any but i dont feel like putting premium into an NA neon.

 

Only now drive 5.7 miles to work and in the winter around here with the heater on I am getting only about 27-8 not my 33-6 when I had to drive 40+(@80 MPH) to work. Oh well.

Hey MidnightBlueNeon what kind of exhaust u got in your neon, LOOK NICE and does it sound nice?

 

On my last tank I got around 310 miles out of 11.5 gallons with a little highway driving and a llittle city driving. My milage use to be worse when I first got my Accel injectors; now it's a little better. It should pay off when my race computer gets here. I'll be using 93 so it should be even better. I'm approaching 3 months of waiting, hopefully it'll be here soon.[&:]
