Default TAILLIGHTS ISSUES with 2002 and the newer style custome lights.

Hey brothers, I do read through this and take peoples advice, very interesting and good stuff... I learned I need to do a swap for the newer bumper in the front to put new custom headlights in because there bigger...

CAN ANY ONE TELL ME ABOUT THE REAR TAILLIGHTS,,, CAN THE NEWER LED CUSTOM BLACK TAILLIGHTS MADE FOR 03,04,05 FIT ON MY STOCK 2002? OR WOULD I NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO MAKE IT FIT ???

ALSO I BOUGHT PLATINUM PLUS QUAD TIP PLUGS, BUT I READ SOMEWEAR THAT THEY DONT WORK WELL FOR THE NEON, IS THAT TRUE ON THE 2002? AND DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY???

LET ME KNOW TAKE CARE.

KEEP ON KEEPEN ON.

both issues have been discussed in the past on wether new parts would fit older models. The answer is both yes and no. Yes they will fit, but not with your current setup. The shape of the trunk lid as well as the bumper skin are different enough to not allow you to install the new tail lights on an older car. Body styles changed in 2000, and again in 2003. There were some minor changes to the styling of the front bumpers, but that didn't really change the way that things fit together.

To answer your spark plug question, platinum doesn't produce a proper spark inside the neon. The only platinum that I've heard work in the neon are the DOUBLE platinum which are too expensive for their own good. I would go back to an NGK plug, you'll be much better off with the copper plug. If you're going through all the trouble of installing a set of plugs, I'd check on your wires as well. Wires are simple to do and every bit as important as the plugs.

Fit in with no problem, but you will have to use the rear bumper covers. If your using 00-02 lights, you need to use an 00-02 bumper cover, 03-05 lights must be used with a 03-05 bumper cover. Same holds true for the front as well as the rear.
