i am thinking of maybe doing an srt 4 swap in my 02 neon se, but i live in NY and we have strick emisson laws. SO my question is there a way around this issue any car over 96 has to go threw a state instection that involves hooking a computer to the car and scanning the VIN number, so if i do an srt 4 swap the engine will not be what the VIN number says it is, is there any way to get around this problem, it would be a great sleeper but i do not want to spend the money if i could never drive it on the street. thanks for the help...

 

Best way to do a 2nd gen swap is to just buy a rolled SRT-4 and swap everything including harness. Being it is built to a newer standard emission will not be a problem.
