im a little new to this forum...i've been reading alot of ur posts and i have'nt seen any of the topics tht i was interested in....i had a 98 neon sport and now recently i own an 05 sxt..wht im looking for is can u swap a dohc head from a first gen neon to the 2nd gen sohc...just something im tryin to look into and do something diff.... cause we all kno how honda motors can match up with most of the blocks...but anyway, if there is anyone out there with some info on this...please feel free to let me kno thnx
The only difference I'm aware off is that you would either need to replace the pistons or cut reliefs in them for the other two valves. otherwise the head would bolt up.
if you get the head that is complete and has a cam and every thing it should 15-20 horsies that is my geustemate.
r/t cam = crane 12
r/t head = race ported normal soch head
and you get way better valve springs
r/t in second gens are so rare. I've only seen 1 in my city and it was a month after I just got mine. It flew by me and I was impressed. So finding one in a junk yard would be super hard if there hard to find on the street. But isn't any companies that sell r/t head, what about mopar or dodge?
