ok i went though a puddle today with my right side of the car and i heard a loud horrible squealing sound from the passenger side of the engine. it went away after a few secs but i didnt like it one bit. i have an 04 sxt so does ne1 have ne ideas wat it was and what i might have 2 do about it
I agree with this statement. Though I've never had this particular incident happen to me, I've had my belts squeal in the early morning when there's condensation in the air. Everything gets really wet and thus makes the belts squeal because they're slipping. As the engine heats up the water evaporates and it's no longer a problem.
not for something quick like that. It's only if you had submerged the car and water had been sucked into the intake. Your engine wasn't made to compress fluids, water doesn't compress very well, so it would most likely tear your engine to [sm=smiley35.gif]
