00 neon (ebay issue)
Whats up, well im new here and well i barely got my neon about a month ago and ive been looking for aftermarket parts, ive been looking at those cheap ebay parts as im sure many people have asked before and i know now that those chips are crap, but i was wondering if the cold air intakes are still a good purchase? I was thinking of just buying the intake off ebay for a cheaper price and just buy a good brand air filter such as a K&N filter, or does any one recommend or have something to say about those cheap ebay intakes? Thanks.
Well from what I've heard the intakes themselves are good quality for the price your paying, but they come with ultra cheap crap filters. So if you are gonna buy the Ebay kind make sure you at least get a K&N filter to go with it.
When i was out looking for intakes i really didnt trust them, b/c i was thinking how could they be that cheap? Some people say good things about them, ans some people say they're crap, but if you want to save some money go for it, if it breaks for some reason there so cheap you can just buy another one...
I just went out and bought a Typhoon intake for around $200.

i have a "ebay intake" to me a bent piece of pipe is a bent piece of pipe. as far as the filter goes it comes with one of the 30$ pep boy filters, you can easily buy a k and n filter and still not spend a lot of money, to me the ebay intakes are great for the money.
well thanks for the reply's, appreciate it, but for the people with the ebay intakes, do you think they perform the same as brand name intakes or atleast close enought to them? Thanks.
Yeah they are not that bad though they are low quality and are small diameter piping usually 1/2 to 3/4 inche smaller in diameter so the companys can sell them for cheap. Remember you really do get what you pay for....
