Default Mopar Short throw shifter

Is the Mopar Short Throw Shifter for the SRT-4 the same unit that goes on the regular Neons?

Just have to remove a few srews and the console comes right out, then you just remove the old unit and put the Mopar STS in. The whole thing will take about a half hour to do, maybe more, its pretty easy to do. Do you already have a STS of some kind or just looking to go to the Mopar one??
If you dont have one you should look into the Maddog STS (heard about it on SRT4 Forums and everyone says good things about it), I'm ordering one soon (hopefully) and it gives like a 58% throw reduction, I think the Mopar only gives like a 30% reduction. Anyway, thats all i have to say on the matter!

I have heard the maddog reduces shifting both ways. I have the mopar unit and I'm very hapy with it. Its so easy to shift now with that and boogers on there. Its just like flickin a switch. If you have a sparco **** on there you shouldn't need a new ****. THe one that comes with the mopar unit can be ripped off pretty easily. I ripped mine off going into 2nd gear under hard shifting.

You have to contact chuck and he makes them, he's like a professional machinist and the best at what he does. His email is aclnes55@yahoo.com or you can PM him from SRTforums with his screen name (maddog).
It costs 171.00 with shipping and if you send your stock shifter assembly to him you get $35 back, hopefully i'll be able to order mine soon, b/c i've heard its totally awesome.

Yes i got the full catback from MP, but i had ne tips welded on b/c i didnt like the oval shaped ones. I love the exhaust, it has a nice deep tone, but its not loud or annoying. Plus you can never go wrong with a Borla product, your paying a lot but its the absolute best quality available.
If you have the $600 go for it, i couldnt imagine having my stock exhaust back on or having anything else on and you wont be dissapointed!
