I just bought SRT-4 Rims for my base model 5 speed 2002 neon. I tryed putting the wheels on and noticed that the tire is about a millimeter away from the stock shock in the front, and completely rubs in the back... . Ok my fellow neoners... Why hasnt any one just bought spacers? wouldnt this fix the issue, some one please dont tell me I need to replace all my shocks and struts just to ride SRT-4 rims...
I would like some alternitives. If some one has some please share.. I really am not to well off and I bought the rims in near new condition for 240 dollars with tires from a dealership wearhouse.
I dont want to have to tern around and sell these.. please please please help me out... besides changing tires size, and besides replacing with stock srt4 stuff what could I do? cut the lip off the shock gard thing, spacer? hub replacement of some sort...

no way you should cut the strut becase then there will be nothing holding up the spring. i actually have some 30mm spacers that i'm trying to get rid of. theyre eibach, and actually screw onto your existing lugs and give you a new set. i had it on the car for less than 100 miles. wider wheelbase also added handling. the only problem is that they are not cheap lol. pm me if you are interested. or you could just change your suspension or tires.

you want to put wider tires on the SRT rims? the WIDEST you can go would be 215 (up from the stock 205) they are only 6"wide. so they wont hold very wide tires. this is why many SRT owners opt for aftermarket rims that are 7 or 7.5 wide, to accomodate 235 and 245 width tires. running even 225 is dangerous on the srt rim. the 205 is actually the widest one should really go but i have heard of 215s being put on without issue.
