Default msd coils?????

i have an atx 2005 sxt, stock. i was wondering if an msd coil and high performance wires and plug are worth buying... i'm planing on buying a HAHN's stage 1 turbo kit here shortly along with a high flow exhuast system, but for right now i was wondering if the coil, plugs and wires would be good to get?

Plugs and wires will help a little, but the MSD is a different color coil with a sticker. Its the same exact thing as stock.

the screaming demon one on howell claims to put out 40,000 volts as opposed to the 36,000 volts the stock one does. is that just a bunch of hogwash for "buy our product" also, or will that really burn cleaner and all that?

Gary, gave me the same advice and I don't believe it's hogwash as their current prices has the MSD Coil quite a bit more than the screamin deamon. If was hogwash why wouldn't they just recommend the most expensive options they have. He also suggested Crane Wires. Also according to Gary that is the combination they used on their SRT4 that won the Car and Driver SuperFour Challenge.

The screamin demon is a better than stock coil, but you are not gonna notice that much of a difference. If your coil goes bad, buy the screamin demon, other than that there is no real need unless its worth the money to you for 1-2 HP. Crane MSD wires are good. As for plugs NKG are the generally recomended plugs, I have the Bosch Platinum +4' s that everyone says are horible and I like them.

I have noticed for a little while now a little drop in power with what seems a stuble in the engine while it is under load, Highway driving or especially while climbing a hill. After getting my exhaust i can clearly hear what sounds like a misfire/small backfire I guess you could say, any way a slight pop. Could this be my Coil gone bad or should I have the car in shop for diagnostics. Have recently changed wires (autolite) and plugs (Champion copper).
