what is the point of not disconnecting the coolant from the throttle body??

There is no real point in any of those mods. Synthetic oil is good to use, thats about the only truth in there. The neon does not run a coolant line throught the TB.

 

some of these are very general tips, though I wouldn't trust half of them. The synthetic oil trick I can see, however I can't see bypassing the throttle body being very helpful. I'd imagine that cooling the throttle body would be a good thing. Also none of this information is Neon specific. The information that they give is through the use of an Integra and an Accord engine. I'm not saying that their engine is all that different from ours, but it doesn't sound like the author of this article has any experience with the dodge engines. The spark plug trick, and the synthetic oil trick are the only two things I might consider using on my car. The insulation of the fuel lines might end up making the engine bay look like ***, the IAT sensor trick is probably more trouble than it's worth and bypassing the TB might actually end up doing damage to your car.

 

thanx guys.. yeah so far. the fully synthetic. and indexed plugs were my only two mods from this site i did... just had to ask u know........the only real wrong answer.. is no answer...so why not ask.
