LowSlow: It doesnt happen to every car....and some model years were worse/better then others. I know with my Dakotas man it was a joke doing stock rotors.....worthless. My roomie is now on her 1st set of replacements, but since she got the stock OEM's....she's had to have them turned once already. She put those on at like 28-30k.....and she had them turned like last month, like 43k.

Again, it's not on every car, and its more a suggestion to check/warning to replace. It's one of the few things I know that happens with a lot of DC vehicles. If you were to browse the trucks/mini-vans section...its a common problem.

 

yea i think we are going to replace the rotors first thing. anyone else have any imput?

 

What did your friend get? Which model neon and what year? How many miles? Etc?

 

he didnt buy it yet. test driving it saterday. its a 2002 sxt with 41,000 miles. like i said before he loves your car. you have a list of mods?

 

Yeah I have a list somewhere...but off the top of my head:

Eibach pro kit, K&N Typhoon Air Intake, Prothane Race Motor Mounts, SRT4 short throw shifter with booger bushings, LED blinkers/side markers/third brake light, clear side markers, clear third brake light, RX300 Tail Lights (flat black in color), SRT4 spoiler, Debadged, removed side moldings, APC headlights, Eurolite foglight bulbs, lamin-x headlight (blue)/fog (yellow) covers, 10mm plug wires, NGK V-Power spark plugs, Eibach Sway Bar Kit 24mm front/22mm rear, painted stock wheels with 185/65/15 snow tires, 17" Enkei RS7 205/40/17 with Kumho supra 712 tires, Hawk street brake pads, yellow painted calipers, painted interior, SRT4 cluster, EGT, Oil PSI, and A/F Guages, tinted windows 20% in the back and 50% up front, almost forgot my exhaust....2.5" stainless steel piping with magnaflow muffler.

HAHA...thats about all I can remember right now. I'm sure I forgot something....LOL. That would get someone started if they wanted to clone my car. HAHA. Is it a manual or automatic. With the car having that many miles there shouldn't be too much wrong with it as long as the previous owner took care of it.

 

damn man you got alot of **** in there. not that i should talk or anything it sucks because its an auto. i wish to hell it was a manual but he doesnt care. i think if he ever blows it we might convert it.

 

Yeah...sadly enough I'm not quite done with it yet. I need some more power before I call it good. LOL. Got piles of turbo stuff sittin around. Oh almost forgot...powdercoated valve cover waiting to be installed.
