Quaker state bad? uhoh :-S

I just passed 100k today. I started using synthetic at about 90k. i havent noticed any problems out of it though, but i should probably switch huh? Should I use high mileage? I've heard some bad things about that type of oil. Something about teflon particles.

U can go thousands and thousands of miles but I've heard of someone using nothing but Quaker S. and the engine was opened up for some reason and it was clogged up with clunks of oil. I've heard many different things. It doesn't burn well.

I cant find amsoil or royal purple oil anywhere around. It looks like the only place I can get it is online. (hmm, or maybe Hunters or Tennessee Speed Sport, ill call tomorrow) and it looks like Mobil1 would be next on the list. Should I get high mileage synthetic or what?
