Default Injectors

Hey this may be a stupid question but will the stock srt-4 injectors work with the 03 to 05 neons
and what cheap mods can i do to add horsepower. I have an 04 automatic that will be automatic for a little while till i have the money for a swap so keep that in mind. I have an srt-4 modeled intake and an srt-4 upgrade dual exhaust straight through design with a stock cat. I also want to keep this street legal. Please leave some suggestions.

If you don't have serious mods, changing the injectors wont do anything to help IMO. Money equals performance; being cheap equals lower performance.

I would go with what you just said but, that isn't really true, my exhaust only cost me 50 bucks and my intake 25 bucks it is all who you know and the skills you have. Most of the parts I have found have been in junk yards and they are in terrific shape. I can get an entire tranny and linkage assembly for under 200 bucks but until i have the time to do all the stuff i was looking for small mods.

How does putting bigger injectors equal more power? Yeah...it doesn't unless you have supporting mods to require more fuel.

your PCM is what is going to limit the amount of fuel that is flowing through your engine. If too much fuel is injected into the cylinders your PCM will cut back on fuel until the right amount is flowing through. Your engine has to be using fuel before it will allow more into the combustion chambers. If you want more fuel to flow through, you have to have more air first and passive air is not enough. You'd probably have to end up going with a turbo to warrant a larger set of fuel injectors. A stage 1 is fine with the stock injectors, Stage 2 is where you start to require more fuel.

If you want some cheap mods look into having your throttle body bored out to a larger size. The automatic has a larger throttle body than the manual to begin with. Sending it out to be bored is cheaper than buying a new one. There are many more helpful tips in the stickies at the top of the page, check those out and I'm sure you'll be able to find some performance mods on the cheap.

Getting the injectors and smaller mods to get more horsepower were two different subjects I never said that larger injectors equal more power. I just wanted to know what other mods i could do get some more horses.
