hey guys i have a 04 SXT and i wanna do an srt-4 swap which ive been researchin for a while and i just wanna know if you guys can thing of anything during the swap that i would have a problem with

 

The only problem i can think of is the fact it will take a lot of money and time to do, and you will be replacing pretty much anything and everything related to the engine...

 

Maybe it's just me, but I think you'd be better off getting a SRT-4.

 

no i got that from just about every1 but if you think about it i can sell my car and get maybe 8000 at the most then a used srt is 15000 at very cheap then insurance will actually destroy me or i can buy a crashed srt 4 about 3000-5000 and do the swap myself

 

i say go for the swap
if you were able to sell it then buy a srt 4 the insurance would kill you alot longer than to do the swap now and start saving after you do the swap.
it will cost you alot but depending on how many miles you have on the car go for the swap.
im not sure about what problems you will run into cause i just got my neon and only done a few mods to it but from what i know go for the swap then if you ever wanted to sell the car later you can get a good ammount cause youve done a swap
idk my opinion but its your car so dont let anyone cloud your judgement

 

Pick up service manuals for both cars. You'll want good wiring diagrams at the very least. If it can be done in a 1st gen, it can certainly be done in your 2nd gen.

yea ill be here to help, mine total was 3,500 for the neon 4,000 for the totaled srt-4 and 2,000 for insurance, so in total i have a 10,000 srt-4 with mods

 

Not bad considering a used 2003 SRT-4 will run you $12k-$16k...plus higher insurance would kill for us younger drivers!
