RE: alarm install cost
i too my first generation to circuit city and for the viper alarm and install it was 300.00 and would take about 6 hours for them to do...no remote locks or remote start...then they called me an hour after i dropped it off and said that they had to cut all my wires for the neon lights so they could access under the dash...then they called a while later and said there was a wire in the steering column that shorted out and melted a few other wires together...so they pulled all the wires apart and told me that they wouldnt install the alarm until i got the other wires fixed...so they left all the wires bare and put the car back together...i took the car home and had it installed in under an hour...find a ground, the two power wires...radio harness worked fine for me....and all the other wires you need, door pins, trunk pin, and parking lights,...are all down on the floor by the trunk release...it is very simple...all remote start wire are in the steering colum..just remove the bottom of the dash for easy access....all you need is a haynes manual for wireing diagrams

RE: alarm install cost
that sounds like the alrm that i had on my taurus sho...most every thing is alredy in one unit, so there isnt a bunch of other stuff to hook up...just get the hayne manual and find which wires go to the door pins, parking lights, starter wire, ground, and both power wires...it is very simple, all the wires needed are listed in the alarms maual..if you have the siren then it doesnt need the horn output, the relays are all built in so all you need to do is hook up the wires, the shock sensors are in the main box..alot of it is just plug and play, the led, over ride switch, and the valet switch..
