I can provide the link to an SRT-4 swap into a 1st gen - no charge. 2nd gen wouldn't be that much different. Been done in a 2nd gen, but not many people past as much detail as Jake did...

Mopar's site used to have contingency information posted. Don't count on a full sponsorship though.

You would be correct...it is much more difficult to swap the 2.4 into the 1st gen than 2nd gen...since the SRT is a 2nd gen with a better motor.
Your looking at 3k for the entire engine, tranny, computer, etc...then another 1k for odds and ends and if you have someone install it for you thats another grand at least.

So your looking at the 4-6k range total.

You would have to buy a PT cruiser auto transmission, and then you would have to do some modding to make sure the shifter assembly and everything else would fit properly.
