ridiculous CAI
Not too long ago I bought a K&N Typhoon 69 Series CAI......my buddy and I put it on, and let me tell you, the procedure was ridiculous. removing the old stock intake wasnt a big deal.....but then when it came time to take off the wheel and take out the covering inside the wheel-well just to get it all together blew my mind. i thought that this was an odd procedure for an intake. although, I love where the intake sits because of the amount of air it gets, I still think it coulda been a better planned piece.
dont get me wrong, I love my intake and the difference it makes.

Yeah, it took me about an hour to install mine too. Though, I didnt have to take the wheel off, I just rotated it to the side as far I could and then unscrewed the fenderwell and went to work.
That's how a true CAI goes into a Neon, they curve down into the fenderwell for the cold air.

I had to do the same thing. I think it actually pretty cool though being able to move the intake into its own little compartment away from the engine. it is a good way to get cold air.

no im almost positive that once you losen the screws it should just slide out from where it rests...i also have an aftermarket front bumper.. so i dont know if its harder with a stock piece there or not??but the only problem i had was with the grommet for the air sensor
