Neon VS Full Size Ram
I have a 2000 neon Le that has no real mods to make it faster
i do have No It Is Not A HEMI. on the windshield for fun
i was on a straight road when i notice someone in the full sized newer ram
looking in the rear view mirror then gesture that he wanted me to try and keep up and he stepped on the throttle and started passing cars so i followed him on his bumper to approx 120km/h and then he slowed down back to about 80km/h
then he gestured for me to go around him and of course i proceeded
as i pulled out to pass he stepped on the throttle and so did i
my neon is auto so i dropped it into 2nd and foot to the floor
now as i said as i pulled out he stepped on it
i managed to look at him as i was going by his window and he did not look happy
but i could not get completely in front of him but he was not gaining on me either
but when traffic started coming i could or he could let off
i chose to move slowly into his lane as he was the one that wanted me to pass and he did slow down and as i looked in my rear view i could see him hitting his steering wheel and looked P.O'ed
wish i had a video camera with me

RE: Neon VS Full Size Ram
The Neon governs out at 120 MPH correct? A friend of mine owns a 2005 Ram Hemi 4x4 and he says that his governs out at just above 105 MPH. I've tried keeping up with his hemi and we only do it for short distances, maybe a half mile at a time but his Ram absolutely kills me in that short distance. If the governer throttles back on his Ram earlier than my car does, I'd probably beat him in the long run, but you'd probably have to be doing it for pretty long distances in order for it to be feasible. The thing to remember is that the Ram has a LOT more torque than your Neon does, so of course he's gonna pull of the line way faster than you, but in the long run you'll beat him. Of course this isn't a light to light race and that's what most "street" racers are looking at.
