Fake SRT-4 on the SXT
Recently Dodge has been trying to get rid of some of the spare SX 2.0's (The Canadian equivalent of the Neon SXT) that are sitting on their dealer lot's. They've begun selling the SXT with an added packages:
"SRT Design Package":
-15x6-inch, aluminum wheels
-Bodyside Moulding Not Available
-Dual Bright Exhaust Tips
-Body Front Fascia
-Power Bulge Hood
-Body Instrument Panel Bezel
-P185/60R15 BSW AS Touring Tires
-Body PRNDL Bezel
-Trunk-lid Spoiler
Essentially, they just stole a bunch of parts from the SRT-4 and slapped them on a regular Neon.
Sure, your engine might run cooler with the hood scoop, and sure you have a dual exit muffler. Dodge is asking $2,295 CAD for this package which is a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

News flash...that has been available in the states for well over a year now, since the 05 neons were released. The front fascia and hood are different then the srt4 stuff. So no...they're just not getting rid of spare stuff.

It looks nice, and I would rather have that package then a base Neon look.
Personally, I'd rather have the SRT interior with a Neon exterior. If I ever bought myself an SRT-4, I'd get a Neon hood and delete the spoiler.
I get enough attention as it is with the sport wheels and the debadged look. The wheels came with the car and look very similar to the SRT-4 and I just like the look of a clean trunk lid with no stickers. You wouldn't believe how many people pull up next to me thinking that I'm an SRT-4. I'll drive my car how I want to and I don't want to have people goad me into racing.

I agree with you sirdar, "I don't like the show without the go" as you put it. I hadn't realized that they had been offering this package for that long. it was the first time that I noticed the SX2.0 with the SRT package.
Back when these first came out local dealers around here were advertising them as "2005 Dodge Neon SRT-D"...i guess to fool the dumb people into thinking they were actually getting an SRT-4...
