Anybody know what these are, or what they are for. The first pic is a cable i found loose right under the steering wheel and ontop of the pedals. The second pic seems to be an adapter of somesort, i guess something needs to be connected to it but i dont know what?? Everything works fine and all, and im thinking if its even right for me to have some cables hanging around not beeing connected since i have the base model (manual everything) therefore having really almost nothing electrical. I found this because i was running a cable for my radar under there and i happen to see it hanging, also that black adapter that has nothing connected to it. I was just wondering if anybody knew that heck they are and what they are for? thanks.

Looks like an auxillary 8-pin connector...but i have no idea what its for.

 

Probably a diagnostics connection.
