I have a 01 Neon with 71,000 miles. Over the weekend the gas pedal went to the floor, the dash lit up and it hasnt started back up. It been to 2 dealerships now and they cant figure out whats wrong with it. Any ideas?

 

??? thats a tough one. I would first try replacing the entire ETC since you said the pedal went all the way to the floor. The dash lighting up and the car not starting could be a side of affect of a failure of it.

 

well i finally got an update it only took them 5 days to figure out it was the powertrian control module. figures. but luckly its still under warranty.

 

OMG the PCM was not the problem. I got a call after my car has been at the shop for over a week now that the PCM was installed yet the car wont start. Now they say they have to check all the cicuits. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this. Cause according to the mechanic he's never seen this before and is playing everything by ear. Thanks

IF DEALERSHIPS CANT FIGURE IT OUT YOU BETTER JUST PUSH IT OFF A CLIFF, WHICH YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WITH YOU IN IT WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE PIECE OF ****.

 

well now i'm told its the crankshaft sensor, and another sensor thats gonna run me about $400. After almost 2 weeks I'm glad it isnt worse. But we'll see if there right.

besides, if i recall correctly the 2.0 was actually made by mitsubishi???
