Well I found out what that clicking noise was comming from the passenger side of the car. I drove the car fine one day and the next I didnt have reverse, now I cant drive the car at all. I figuerd it out and a used tranny from a junk yard is about 450.00 Me and a buddy are going to remove and replace it. I called a couple of diffrent places and they all want to charge me over 1 k to rebuild it. Am I going in over my head removing the transmission? FYI the one in the car was recently serviced at 60 k, the car now has 85k and was due for another service at 90k if I am correct.

Have you checked the speed sensors as thies affect shifting....

Is is an atx or mtx????

not sure abot getting in over your head as mine was always under warrenty when it wint out!! Good luck if you do end up changing it, make sure you take lots of pics so you can put in in the tech section, im sure it would help alot of people!!

 

If you can get a rebuild for anywhere close to $1K, your doing good. I spent $1700 on my 2001 Town and Country last summer and the same on my sons POS hyundia tiberon three weeks ago.
