SXT vs. R/T
R/T = SXT ownage...lol but seriously, an R/T has the 2.0l HO Magnum engine, which means 150HP/135TQ. It has a larger head, more aggressive cam, a much better intake manifold with secondary runners which open at WOT. The header is also rumored to be of borla design and similar, if not exactly the same in design, if not quality.Comes stock with 16" wheels and 4-wheel disk ABS. It also has front and reat sway bars similar to the SRT and a dual exhaust with 2.25" piping. The R/T also has a SRT style rear bumper (is slightly higher than a SRT) and it has SRT side skirts, the front grill surround is also painted to match the car, as is the interior HVAC surround. The R/T also is equiped with fog lights. Interior comes with a 6-disk CD changer, 140mph speedo, standard 5-speed manual with leather shift **** and a leather wrapped SRT steering wheel. Seats are somewhat sporty, but not nearly as much as the Viper style seats on an SRT-4.
The R/T also requires premium gasoline and has slightly different PCM programing versus the SXT/SE models, however, it is still under the shackles of the damned NGC, which hsas neither been proven or disproven.
I believe that is everything, me personally, i'm glad i got the R/T b/c i already have several things done that I would have had to do if i would of bought an SXT, like intake manifold, dual exhaust, fogs, speedo, brakes, cam, head, etc...anyway, i hope that was a good answer and if you have any more questions feel free!

I'd rather put my own spin on how the car looks, so the differences in body are irrelevant to me at least. Bigger head eh? As far as I know it just flows better. The differences that I'm aware of engine-wise are: dual runner intake manifold, freer flowing head, more aggressive cam, better flowing exhaust, higher compression pistons, more aggressive pcm which is why it takes premium. Or at least premium should be used. Thats about it, may have forgot something. But who doesn't replace the exhaust and header. And if you really that serious about going fast with just the motor who doesn't replace the cam and port the head at some point as well. So at that point there isn't that big of a difference.
03neonRT- Have you heard of anyone running a neon with megasquirt, just to see if they can make more power with it and end the NGC bull****. I know I've heard of sever 1g guys with MS for everything and it works great. But i haven't heard of any 2g guys.

Not really sure about the premium fuel thing for the lx, might have something to do with running too rich? As for using MS on a 2g, I've heard of people using it on a 2nd gen, but they have always been used in forced induction applications...and always to outstanding reviews...but it would be nice if someone would slap it on an N/A stock-ish neon so we could really find out whether the NGC exists...i guess its only a matter of time.
And as for having to run premium in a R/T, when you really think about the actual cost, its only an extra couple of bucks between premium and regular. With that said, i dont always run premium, i do run with plus on occasion when the gas hits like 3.20 or something.

As far as the engine, the magnum engine has larger exhaust ports on the cylinder head, a better intake manifold, better exhaust system, a better pcm, and a more agressive cam w/ stiffer v. springs. I thought the pistons were the same
