I bet the Honda Civic has a better crash test rating though. The Neon is classified one of the worst on the side impact rating. I believe the rest of the car is ok though.

omg...the side safety is rated so low.
i need a safety car....so.....i dunno now. coz i'm still a new driver with only 6 months driving experience.
i mean i drive safely and never race, but i just afriad of the accident that will happen to me one day....of course, i dun want to have any of it, but many things u cannot control.
who can give me more suggestion?
1. gas saver
2. safety
3. inexpensive
4. no giant body
i need a safety car....so.....i dunno now. coz i'm still a new driver with only 6 months driving experience.

Its not that low, i mean your not gonna die instantly or be deformed for life if you got hit from the side...unless you get hit by a mssive SUV or a semi-truck, but if you get hit from the side by either of those vehicvles, it doesnt matter what sport compact your in...
As for the things you want in a car, the Neon is still your best bet...

umm...yea! u r rite! NEON is still an ideal car for me!
