Default 2.5 or 3in piping? which is better

k here it is, i have an 02 auto neon. i only got an aerospeed muffler tip but i currently started working in shop, and im goin to do my whole exhaust str8 pipe. any ideas what size is good? i only got a cai and the rest is looks, from were should i start? ideas let me know

here are sizes to fit horsepower with good flow. Hope this helps

single
2 inch - 150hp
2.5inch - 200hp
3inch -250hp

dual
2 inch - 225hp
2.5inch - 300hp
3inch - 400hp

unless you go huge power, there is never any reason to have more then 2.5in on a neon

Leave it the way it is right now and weld the muffler on. However if you do go bigger go no larger then 2.5.

On low boost it will be, on N/A I think 2.25 is still the best for a Neon, as long as its fairly free flowing....for a turbo Neon, i would only go for the 2.5" (which is what i'm going for) unless you have a larger turbo and running more boost.
