Default front speaker install

my girlfriend blew out my two front speakers in my 2000 neon, and I was wondering, to remove the stock speakers and install the new ones, do i need to remove the door panel or can I remove the old and install the new without removing the door panel. thanks everyone

you have to remove the door.... it blows but heres a few pics of how its attached and such for ya (i have an 05 sxt for referance). there are 3 screws 1 thats covered by the front dash when doors are closed, other is behind the handle to open the door, and 3rd is in the armrest.

those white holes are push type pins.... when i removed my door i just pulled em right off, didnt break any.... but do that at your own risk.... also on the top front portion (that little triangle shaped piece) it is connected with a clip and is by far the easiest part of the door to remove. All said it took me about 30 min or so to get it off (the first time anyways)

hope that helps

Howd you get the window roller back on??
Always perplexed me.

I got one off the Geo with the towel under the roller deal, but I could never get the darn clip back into place....
