Mopar STS and Update
I don't buy the whole 80% reduction. Yeah right. Prove it to me and maybe I will believe it. The mopar one is definitely worth the money. And yes....those metal clips suck ***.

If i had the extra $130 to throw at it (which i dont), I might just buy it for the hell of it to see if it actually works well...but i'm thinking the 30%-50% is the sweet spot for STS's...
What do u mean????? I can't put any shift boot on there to cover the STS up? Is the SRT-4 shift boot suppose to snap on with the console? How do I make any of this work?[&o]
Ok, you have the STS installed, the center console is back in place, and the old round shift boot is off, so you can still see the entire STS unit. The SRT-4 boot has a piece of plastic sticking out of the front under the boot, this piece will slide unde the round hole in the console, then you will apply pressure and the boot will snap down just like with the stock boot, make sure the boot is over the shift rod before doing this. Now, the SRT-4 boot will sit lower on the shift rod, exposing the chrome rod for a few inches up to the **** (oh and you either need the stock **** or a aftermarket one)...
I'm trying to picture what you're saying in my head since i don't have my car to look at. So the console goes on before the SRT shift boot huh. I got a shift boot from Howell and I got the SRT shift boot a while ago b/c i just wanted to replace the ugly regular neon shift boot. The one from Howell didn't work for sure. The stock shift boot has always sat too high on my sparco shift **** for my taste. I didn't install the SRT shift boot a while ago b/c it seemed as if it wouldn't work with the regular neon shifter.
When I tried to install the SRT shift boot the last time, I noticed that it didn't clip down like the stock one did. With the stock shift boot I had to have the shift boot in before the console was on. The stock shift boot had little pins on the bottom that clipped down into the three holes on the shifter itself. The holes that I'm talking about are the two in the front of the shifter and the one on the back. Will I need to use any piece off the regular Neon shift boot that goes in the three holes of the sts? Correct me if I'm wrong anywhere.
I really appreciate the help.

I'll try and snap some pictures of mine tonight to illustrate what i mean to at least give you some idea of what its supposed to do...
I get it. I'm just hoping the shift boot fits on without a problem since it didn't seem to work last time for me. I'm guessing and hoping I just didn't do it right. Thanks a lot.
